PRINCETON, N.J. - West Chester scored 12 first half points and controlled the tempo of the game winning the majority of the possessions as the Golden Rams romped to a 17-0 Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU) Division I victory over host Princeton Saturday afternoon.
Sasha Stauffer, an injury replacement in the first half, recorded the Golden Rams' first try to put her squad on top 5-0. Steph Burkhardt then doubled that advantage on a long run. Whitney Hartshorne added the conversion as West Chester took a 12-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, Alyssa Glock intercepted a Princeton pass and ran in for a try to close out the scoring at 17-0.
West Chester returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 4 with a match at Shippensburg.
